2017 NEW YORK FASHION WEEK PART 2
What’s better than pinstripes to kick off the fall season? Nothing in my book. For this isn’t your average boring pinstriped blazer. I bought this gorgeous dramatic, slimming Smythe pinstriped blazer to wear during New York Fashion Week this year. I knew it would no doubt stand out in the crowd and be a classic that I can wear for years to come! You might also remember the last time I wore another amazing blazer was in this post for NYFW as well as this one.
My second day of NYFW started out with a photoshoot by my hotel with my roommate and other blogger friends. Then we headed to Barney’s for a day of shopping and eating at my favorite place for lunch in all of NYC, Fred’s. While we were there I saw the confident and beautiful Tash from America’s Next Top Model. She couldn’t have been nicer and was thrilled that I recognized her (my teenage daughter’s love it and we all watch it together). We finished the day with some appointments, stopped by the Olivia Palermo Collection for Banana Republic (it was nutty with lots of fur protestors so we decided not to go inside and instead went to Sephora across the street to get eye lashes put on) and then a yummy dinner at Blue Ribbon Sushi Izakaya followed.
For this fun-filled day I chose the amazing Smythe Pouf Sleeve One Button Pinstriped Blazer (also found here and here as well & similar for less here, here, here, here & here). This classic pinstriped blazer is updated with a feminine touch of dramatically “poufed” shoulders, tapered front hems that are visually slimming and a gleaming gold-tone button with a super cool dragon motif. This blazer runs TTS I am wearing a size 4.
Under my blazer I have my Cami NYC The Racer Charmeuse White Cami (also found here and similar for less here & here)on. Cami NYC camisoles run TTS I am wearing a size small.
My denim is by the always amazing brand Mother. It’s called the Mother Dazzler Shift Jean (also found here & also found here with rips , here & here & similar for less here, here & here) they run TTS I am wearing a 26. They not only have a new updated higher back waistband but also shadow distressed and vintage ripped up back pockets. My favorite details of these jeans are the unraveled, frayed hem in the back as well as the chewed up back pockets.
