SSS it’s now officially summer and wedding season, so what does that mean for us? We all need a fabulous go to Little Black Dress we can grab from our closet and know that we will be looking sophisticated and fabulous each and every time. I am wearing a modern, up-to-date LBD
When my good friend and fellow ‘Street Edit’ Dallas Fashion Blogger, So Heather, and I were asked by DFW Style Daily to do a write up on whether or not women over 40 can wear crop tops, of course we jumped at the chance. Why you might ask? Because I just adore this look and wear it quite often. The one and only rule that you always have to keep in mind while attempting this look for summer is…
I cannot stop wearing my soft grey v-neck Pixie Dust tee by Nation LTD. And of course I’ve paired it with my favorite black ReDone jeans. Here is another post where I’m wearing a similar pair of black jeans. Nation was founded by designer Jen Menchaca in 2005. And is a brand of women’s soft, relaxed products that inspire confidence and make being sexy oh so effortless. This summer Nation LTD and Disney did a Tinker Bell collaboration which features their latest looks and always easy styling for summer. My Nation Pixie Dust tee is one such example from this collaboration. Through their designs they have shown fun, flirty and sporty looks. Tinker Bell represents the modern woman: smart, feminine, and active …just like the Nation Girl.
If you’re not familiar, Nation LTD is famous for their t-shirts all of which are so unbelievably comfortable, lightweight, super soft and airy. Their first design was the perfect vintage white v-neck t-shirt for women. And many people wore it. They started out just doing t-shirts similar to my Nation Pixie Dust Tee and now they have expanded their line into dresses, tanks, sweatpants, sweatshirts, and jackets as well.

Lately, you will almost always catch me wearing one of two colors: black or white. You just honestly cannot go wrong with either color for any occasion (or season for that matter). One of my favorite black ensembles would no doubt consist of a great pair of black flare jeans, a beautiful black lace top, finishing off the look with a fabulous pair of heels and of course some magnificent jewelry by one of my favs Harper Hallam. I’ve included some fabulous Mother’s Day Gifts…show them how much you love and thank them for all they do. I know one things for certain that I would not be the woman I am today without the love and support from my Mom, aka Fud or Miss Wade. She truly is my role model and she has been my inspiration for as long as I can remember. I only hope and pray that I will be half the Mother to my three girls that she has been to me.

Dreams really do come true! Street Style Squad had its first ever collaboration with Neiman Marcus at Northpark Center during their famous Shoe and Handbag Event a few weeks ago. It was a fabulously fun evening of bites, beverages and beats by DJ Derek-all the while shopping for the must-have shoes and handbags of the spring 2016 Collections. I would like to thank Leah Dworkin and Apryl Churchill for helping me facilitate this event. And I look forward to many more to come. I would also like to thank Shana Anderson Photography for all of these wonderful pictures capturing the spirit of our lovely evening.
