2017 NEW YORK FASHION WEEK PART 2
What’s better than pinstripes to kick off the fall season? Nothing in my book. For this isn’t your average boring pinstriped blazer. I bought this gorgeous dramatic, slimming Smythe pinstriped blazer to wear during New York Fashion Week this year. I knew it would no doubt stand out in the crowd and be a classic that I can wear for years to come! You might also remember the last time I wore another amazing blazer was in this post for NYFW as well as this one.
2017 NEW YORK FASHION WEEK FIRST LOOK
Street Style Squad hits 2017 New York Fashion Week. This is one of my favorite times of year ever since I was a little girl. I remember always watching and being enamored with highlights from all the fashion shows for as long as I can remember. This was my second trip to NYFW, last year being my first as a fashion blogger. I just love traveling with my sweet dallas blogger friends to NYC and meeting so many bloggers while I’m there. We never get much rest during this week and we spend most of our time with meetings, shopping and of course drinks and dinner with all of our blogger friends that are also in town. The highlight of our trip was no doubt the amazing rooftop rewardStyle party on our last night in the big city. You might also remember my posts from last year here, and here. The Woman I Admire Most In The World
If you’ve ever met my mom you would understand why she’s the woman I admire most in the world. She truly is such an inspiration and gives of herself each and everyday. In 1962, my mom, Sue Wade, founded Wade College in Dallas, Texas for those students who wanted to join the fashion and merchandising industries. She became interested in fashion at the age of 15 while working for a local department store. Her high school program allowed students to attend school half a day and then work half a day. My RewardStyle Conference Looks
Last weekend I accomplished a major goal of mine since starting my blog, Street Style Squad. I was thrilled to be invited to attend the 5th annual rewardStyle Blogger Conference. It is only held once a year and last year’s conference was held only a little over a month after I launched my blog. I told myself that I would do whatever it took to work hard for you (my followers) to get invited this year. And I’m very proud to say that out of the 12,000 bloggers affiliated with Reward Style around the world I was ranked in the top 200 and therefore was honored and beyond excited to attend the rStheon Conference. I owe each and everyone of you a BIG THANK YOU FOR YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT of my blog Street Style Squad. Because without each of you reading and shopping my blog none of this would be possible! The Lighthouse employs people that are blind or visually impaired to sew Tish Cox’s amazing high-end line. “Cox made a five-year agreement with the Lighthouse’s newly appointed CEO Hugh McElroy, and they swiftly assembled a team including Forest Bell, the design division director at Wade College, who created a 10-week training course and figured out how to translate Cox’s garment construction into a process that worked for blind and visually impaired employees.” Therefore don’t wait another minute and get out there and purchase something from Tish’s amazing line because you no doubt will be supporting a wonderful cause.
