My Source of Inspiration & Style
While I serve as an inspiration to many women with my fashion-forward tips and healthy lifestyle, my mother, is my biggest admiration and the woman who inspired and continues to inspire me. Sue Wade, my mother, founded Wade College in Dallas, Texas in 1962. Her interest for fashion was sparked at a young age of 15-years-old when she was working for a department store while also attending high school. Wade not only began modeling for the store, but also became a buyer for the store and was responsible for choosing products that were sold in the store.
When Wade was 20, she became a model for Neiman Marcus and taught other young girls how to model. In the year 1962, Wade founded Miss Wade’s Fashion Merchandising College which would later be known as Wade College in Dallas, Texas. She began with just $1500 and not once did Wade have to loan or borrow money. She served as an inspiration to women especially her daughter’s love for fashion through her eagerness to spread her knowledge and passion.
Wade College has expanded its degree programs over the years to graphic design, interior design, fashion design, and merchandising and marketing management. Not only has Wade come so far in building a community where women can learn from other women, but she has been accredited for her accomplishments in both the fashion and education industries with a Lifetime Achievement Award from Fashion Group International.

2019 REWARDSTYLE CONFERENCE | WHAT I WORE AT #rSTHECON
I just attended the 2019 rewardStyle Conference for the third year in a row. Today I’ll be sharing what I wore at #rstheCon. As most of you know I just began my blog a little over 3 years ago. To even be included in this conference each year you have to be among the top 200 producing influencers. Therefore it is always an honor to be included. This conference is called #rstheCon. It is the annual blogger conference put on by rewardStyle that connects bloggers with brands for partnerships.
rewardStyle also owns LikeToKnow.It. And the LIKETOKNOW.IT APP is one of the easiest ways you can shop and follow your favorite bloggers because everything is all in one simple easy place.
It is a privilege and honor to even be included with all of these amazing influencers. These women are very inspiring and I respect each of them. Being a blogger sometimes might look like it’s all like it’s fun and games but the hours we spend ‘behind the scenes’ would honestly shock you I’m sure.
I would love to take this time to thank each of you from the bottom of my heart for supporting SSS. For always being a loyal follower. And lastly, for shopping from my affiliate links. Because without each of you none of this would be possible. You might remember my post’s from last year on #rstheCon also here and here.
Now sit back relax and enjoy all my looks from #rstheCon 2019. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed styling them all…

GRAND HYATT BAHA MAR BAHAMAS REVIEW +
THE $400 NORDSTROM GIVEAWAY CONTINUES…
I just returned from my Mother/Daughter Senior Spring Break trip from the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar in the Bahamas. If you’re a regular here at SSS I think it’s pretty obvious that I love going to the beach or anywhere that’s warm for that matter. I’m excited to start focusing on my travels more and sharing them with each of you. Today I am happy to say that my five-night, six-day stay with my oldest daughter and her best friends from high school at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar was a total success. Originally we were going to travel to Cancun. But with some recent happenings in the news we all decided to look into other options since we weren’t going to be traveling with our husbands for this trip. Jamaica, Punta Cana and Costa Rica were close runner-ups but eventually the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar won the majority vote. The Baha Mar Resort is divided into three sections: the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar (where I stayed), the SLS Baha Mar, and the Rosewood Baha Mar will be opening June 2018. Below are the highlights of my trip…

WHAT 4 BLOGGERS WORE TO THE REWARDSTYLE PARTY AT NYFW + ALL MY CHIC WEEK SALE PICKS
Today I’m sharing with each of you what 4 bloggers wore to the rewardStyle party at NYFW. Pictured are a few of my blogger bff’s: Heather Anderson of SoHeather, Cathy Anderson of TheMiddlePage and Debby Allbright of DebbyFashionomics. We had such a wonderful trip together and the rewardStyle Rooftop party at La Sirena Ristorante was a fabulous ending to an amazing trip. It was such fun seeing old and new blogger friends from all over the world. Everyone who is affiliated with rewardStyle was there. They always throw the best parties and once again they did not disappoint. You might also remember my post from last year’s event at New York Fashion Week.
What’s better than pinstripes to kick off the fall season? Nothing in my book. For this isn’t your average boring pinstriped blazer. I bought this gorgeous dramatic, slimming Smythe pinstriped blazer to wear during New York Fashion Week this year. I knew it would no doubt stand out in the crowd and be a classic that I can wear for years to come! You might also remember the last time I wore another amazing blazer was in this post for NYFW as well as this one.
Street Style Squad hits 2017 New York Fashion Week. This is one of my favorite times of year ever since I was a little girl. I remember always watching and being enamored with highlights from all the fashion shows for as long as I can remember. This was my second trip to NYFW, last year being my first as a fashion blogger. I just love traveling with my sweet dallas blogger friends to NYC and meeting so many bloggers while I’m there. We never get much rest during this week and we spend most of our time with meetings, shopping and of course drinks and dinner with all of our blogger friends that are also in town. The highlight of our trip was no doubt the amazing rooftop rewardStyle party on our last night in the big city. You might also remember my posts from last year here, and here. Plus don’t forget to head to the very bottom of the post because one lucky reader will win a $650 gift card to Amazon.
Heather and I are both ‘Loving The Low Cut Look’ here for fall. Can you believe it when I tell you that we did not even plan this, crazy huh? We’ve taken the latest edition of our ‘Street Edit’ to New York for New York Fashion Week. These pictures were all taken on the evening of NYFW day 3 with my good friend Heather Anderson, of So Heather and fellow Dallas Fashion Blogger.
We all know that Veronica Beard is known for her jackets. Whether it be her most coveted blazer with attached dickey combo (like my good friend Heather Anderson, of So Heather and fellow Dallas Fashion Blogger is wearing) or the bomber jacket like I have chosen. We’ve taken the latest edition of our ‘Street Edit’ all the way to the famous streets of New York for NYFW.

As you probably have seen from my earlier posts ‘The Street Edit’ took a fun-filled first time road trip to Tyler, Texas.
