Chic Crop Top’s
When my good friend and fellow ‘Street Edit’ Dallas Fashion Blogger, So Heather, and I were asked by DFW Style Daily to do a write up on whether or not women over 40 can wear crop tops, of course we jumped at the chance. Why you might ask? Because I just adore this look and wear it quite often. The one and only rule that you always have to keep in mind while attempting this look for summer is…
you MUST wear something that is high-waisted! For example, I am wearing a pair of high-waisted crop flares. This way you will not be showing too much skin or looking like the teenager down the street. I am wearing a white cotton peplum embroidered crop top by one of my favorite designers, Jonathan Simkhai. Here is an example of another fabulous white crop top I wore during Memorial weekend. I just love wearing delicate white blouses to help stay cool and look amazing especially during these hot summer months.
SSS if you were thinking before that you just cannot possibly pull off this crop top look why don’t you just give it a try now? I promise you can keep it classy as long as you follow the high-waisted bottom rule, whether its pants, jeans, shorts or a skirt.
