Vintage Denim Without The Hassle

Vintage Denim Without The Hassle

Do you like vintage denim but don’t want the hassle of combing through vintage stores? If so, this article is just for you! In this latest edition of the ‘Street Edit’ with fellow Dallas Fashion Blogger and good friend, Heather Anderson of So Heather, we are highlighting this trend.

We all know by now that one of my favorite things to wear (whether I’m dressing it up with heels or down with sneakers) is denim, in particular jeans.

I have the most perfect pair of vintage Levi’s by Re/Done that are called “The Elsa” after the gorgeous Swedish model Elsa Hosk. You might remember I also did another post recently where I am wearing my vintage black Elsa’s (yes I have them in black as well as blue). I bought the vintage blue pair first and loved them so much that I ordered the black a few weeks later.

The Elsa, made from repurposed vintage Levi 505s and 501s, is sure to flatter any figure. Inspired by its namesake, this jean is truly all about the leg. The high-rise silhouette elongates the leg with its slight flare, complete with the most fabulous inside slit, that finishes at a floor grazing length.

When purchasing your Re/Done’s you must pay close attention to the inseam length, as they will vary. These jeans fit differently than the stretchy, mass-produced jeans you might be used to buying. I suggest that you buy a size up from your normal jean size. For instance, I typically wear a 26 in jeans so I purchased a size 27 in my Re/Done’s. Warning though if they feel tight out of the box, it doesn’t mean they are too small, it just means you need to spend a little time breaking them in. Just a few hours of wear is all it will take to make these your new favorite, go-to jeans…just like mine!

In this post I’ve paired my vintage denim Levi’s with Re/Done’s 1960s Slim Tee in Vintage White. I just love how this tee fits! Its very flattering with that cool, worn in super soft feel as well. I am normally a small in tops yet my Hanes vintage white tee is a medium, fits great and is sure to be an instant classic.

And NEWS FLASH SSS I was super excited to find some Re/Done Vintage Levi Jeans for 40% off while I was researching for this post…yay so exciting, right? I have never, ever seen these jeans on sale before so I think that it’s kind of a gold mine, if I do say so myself.  Therefore do not delay my friends because there is only one of each particular jean, hence why they are vintage, there are no two jeans that are the same.

I think each of you will be equally obsessed with your vintage denim Levi’s just as I am. I wore them all through the fall last year, into the spring and throughout these hot summer months as well. As always please let me know if you have any questions on sizing or on anything health/wellness related either. I don’t know about you but I’m going to cherish these last few days of summer ’16 with my family.

best,

tiffany
