You CAN wear your favorite sneakers just about anywhere. In this post learn all about how you can style your favorite sneakers two different ways for your next GNO or date night. Those that have followed me for awhile now know that I am a shoe lover! From the dressiest heels to most casual sneakers, I love each and every pair. In this latest edition of the ‘Street Edit’ with fellow Dallas Fashion Blogger and good friend, Heather Anderson of So Heather you will learn how I style my sneakers for almost any occasion.
These Citizens of Humanity cropped flared jeans are one of my favorites. I believe a slight flare whether its cropped like these, or full length skimming the floor, are a very flattering fit for all. This flare gives the illusion of a smaller hip and waist versus wearing a slim fit jean or pant all the way down the leg, which can sometimes make hips look larger.
There’s absolutely nothing better than a great pair of jeans, with a soft, comfy tee and a great pair of sneakers. A few months ago, one of my favorite lines Nation introduced their new Tinker Bell-inspired collection. The collection offers a unique interpretation of Tinker Bell’s style, incorporating elements like pom poms and ruffled details to evoke the feeling of wings. This tee that I’m wearing is a favorite of mine and I just cannot get enough of it. I’ve always loved this type of ruffled sleeve tee or blouse because I believe that this type of hem can and will slenderize your upper arm. Nation fabrics are “ultra-soft.” They worked with manufacturers to develop high-quality, beautiful fabrics with great hand feel. Customers who touch (and wear) their clothes love the softness, even to the point of becoming obsessed. I for one can raise my hand and say yes its true that’s me, I’m totally obsessed! They have written on their labels “Never Loan Out.” Seriously. Hang on to your Nation clothes because you won’t get them back. And this is true as well, my three daughters try to steal them all the time.
My favorite sneakers to wear are Golden Goose Deluxe Brand’s ‘Super Star’ sneakers they have been brushed and waxed by hand for an authentic, lived-in look. This white pair is crafted from supple leather and detailed with a star appliqué. I’ll be styling mine with everything from tailored menswear, to dresses and of course denim like in this post. They run by whole sizes only and I would say very true to size, I’m wearing a size 38 and normally I’m a 7 1/2 in most shoes.
I’ve finished off this look with one of my favorite fun fringe clutch’s and long drop duster earring.
